Care Requirements

Montipora cebuensis, like other SPS corals, thrives under stable, high-quality reef conditions:

• Lighting: Moderate to high PAR (200–350). Strong actinic lighting enhances fluorescence.

• Flow: Moderate to strong, but avoid direct blasting to prevent tissue recession.

• Placement: Mid to upper reef zones with room to expand laterally.

• Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic, but benefits from occasional broadcast feeding with coral foods like Reef Roids or amino acids.

• Temperature: 24–26°C (75–79°F)

• Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH

• Calcium: 420–450 ppm

• Magnesium: 1300–1400 ppm

• Nitrates: 2–10 ppm

• Phosphates: 0.03–0.08 ppm
