Appearance:
Colonies grow up to 30–50 cm high.
Branches are thin (2–4 mm), cylindrical, and often tangled.
Polyps emerge from knobs along the branches.
Colors vary: colonies may be red, yellow, pink, or white; polyps can be white, yellow, or red.
Habitat:
Endemic to South Africa, from Bloubergstrand to East London.
Found at depths of 10–30 m, sometimes deeper (up to 160 m).
Feeding: Filter feeder, consuming plankton carried by water currents.
Aquarium Suitability: Not recommended for home aquaria due to its specialized feeding and environmental needs
