Catappa leaves are added to the aquarium water because of their beneficial effect on fish and shrimp. Catappa-X is the effective liquid version of this. When the leaves of the Catappa tree are added to the water, they release beneficial substances. The disadvantage, however, is that they decay after some time, releasing organic compounds.
