Tank Conditions & Placement
Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 75–80°F (25°C)
- Salinity: 1.025
- pH: 8.1–8.4
- Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH
- Calcium: 400–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm
- Placement: Mid to lower areas of the tank with enough space around it. Avoid crowding to prevent aggression toward nearby corals
Lighting & Flow :-
- Lighting: Moderate to high lighting is ideal. Use LED or T5 lighting to enhance its neon coloration.
- Water Flow: Moderate, indirect flow is best. Too much flow can damage the delicate polyps, while too little may hinder nutrient exchange.
Compatibility :-
- Tank Mates: Keep away from other corals with long sweeper tentacles. Wall hammers can be aggressive and sting nearby corals.
- Fish: Compatible with peaceful reef-safe fish. Avoid species that nip at corals.
If your coral isn’t opening or is showing its skeleton, it could be due to stress from lighting, water flow, or poor water quality. Regular monitoring and gentle adjustments can help it recover.
